This is a superb opportunity for an IT Support Analyst to join  an HE institution based in West London

 

LOCATION

 

West London: Notting Hill Gate

 

SALARY

 

£22,000 - £30,000 per year



Term

 

Full- Time, 6 Months contract with possible renewal (Immediately Available)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

IT Manager required by a well established HE Institution in London.

The successful candidate will have 5 years previous IT Network Support and Programming across the college campus.

Preference will be given to those candidates who had served in FE/ HE sectors. Applications from recently retired persons will be considered.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

- 5 Years Previous IT Network Support experience

- Knowledge of VMWare & Moodle VLI

- Sound knowledge of Windows Server 2008

- Good programming experience ( ASP, PHP, SQL & Graphic Packages & Web site   design with dynamic contents)

- Candidates with Microsoft Certification (MCP, MCITP or MCDST) would be desirable. or equivalent professional qualifications

-At least 5 years experience in installing and administering Web Servers, Active Directories, DNS and DHCP Servers as well as designing and implementing and installing, building, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing, and taking preventive action and maintenance of windows – based Server 2003 and 2008 R2 and Routers/Switches (CAT 2960, CAT 3750, CAT 3560, CAT 4500, CAT 6500 etc.)..

-Knowledge of Linux Servers and Workstations (Red Hat and Ubuntu), Good server programming skills in Microsoft MySQL Server and ASP ,and PHP are essential requirements. Good Knowledge of XHTML,CSS & JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX/XML..

 

DUTIES

 

- Providing support to resolve queries immediately, where possible.

- Ability to provide IT support efficiently and quickly, enabling users to make the most of their technology investments.

- Installing Hardware/Software updates and patches onto servers and PCs.

- Ensuring secure and stable IT environment for all users.

- Identify issues and areas for development, and make appropriate recommendations to management.

- Good knowledge of computer hardware & software installations
