Be Personnel Limited are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager (Food Industry) to join a fast paced team based within their state of the art, BRC approved factory in East Lothian.



Salary: £30k to £40k negotiable on experience



The Technical Manager will be responsible for all aspects of quality, legality and food safety of products and processes.



This is an ideal opportunity for either an experienced Technical Manager or a QA Manager ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food, ideally within chilled and frozen high risk cooked meats. The Technical Manager will also have experience of working to the BRC standard.



Key Tasks include, although are not limited to:



Managing Processes and audits including BRC, HACCP and other internal or external auditing

Highlight non-conformances and implement corrective action

Monitoring GMP and hygiene to ensure adherence

Customer/Client Management - Understand and Implement customer policies and procedures, provide KPI information, analyse information and implement corrective actions as appropriate

Devise and manage sampling and testing regimes

Contribute to successful NPD launches

Ensure all product specifications are correct and up to date

People Management including staff training and H&S

Ensure all staff and training records are kept up to date

Budget responsibility

Manage third party suppliers where appropriate
